What can I say about Glass City?

Well, I can tell you one thing, this event was awesome. Like awesome to the point where it has officially set the standard for all events to come.

Kimberly Beale really outdid herself and I can’t even tell you how much she let Glass City take over her entire life and home over the last year. It was incredible and amazing to see book world come together by way of authors, readers, PA’s, bloggers, and spouses who are really only involved by default, to get everything setup and done.

While I am here, I have to give some special shout outs to some people who made my event for me:

Hannah Hossler, for coming and hanging out at my table as the Hannah Hossler from Cracked & Crushed, Cutter’s Hope, Marlin’s Faith, and Charity for Nothing. Most authors bring their cover models, I brought my character… seems legit.

MariaLisa deMora & Sapphire Knight, for being a part of the MC corner of awesome and making our section of the event a powerhouse. ML, it was amazing to finally get to meet you, and hug you, and do the squealing girl thing. Sapphire, I am glad we got to hang, and that I got to meet Mr. Knight and introduce y’all to the epicness that is Cards Against Humanity. That was a seriously fun game.

Martha Lanham, Mom, Wendi Hunsicker, and Jenna: I wish I had a picture of all of us together to add to this, but I don’t. I had so much fun with you at Pizza Papolis on Thursday and at Kimberley’s on Friday getting everything loaded over to the venue. Your guy’s willingness to jump in and help, providing your vehicles, muscles, and even money by way of gas spent was invaluable to making this event a success. Thank you so, so, much for being there and being the most awesome you that you could bring to the party.

Christina McCormick-Franco: God, where do I begin? For coming to the rescue the morning of the signing and doing my hair. Also, for taking my remaining stock of books with you to store closer to my next planned event. Mostly for being such an awesome friend over the last two or three years. I can’t wait to see you again in February at Rebels Hit The Road in Annapolis. It’s going to be a blast.

Finally, to Sarah Ann Scott-Gillespie: You seriously made the event for me. I don’t think I have ever felt special or revered or like my characters are as beloved by someone else as they are to me until I met you. I wish I had the picture of us together, but alas, I don’t. I do have the one of you and Hossler, though. So that will have to do.

If I’ve missed anyone, I apologize, but I am still exhausted and reeling from what a good time I had this last weekend. If at all possible, I am going to try and make next year’s Glass City. Here’s to hoping.

Much love,

XoXo

A.J.
